Session 1: The Yellow Quadrant – Embracing Spring and the Cycle of Life

In our first session, we will focus on the Yellow Quadrant of the Medicine Wheel. This quadrant represents the eastern direction, symbolizing the arrival of spring, the beginning of the cycle of life, the element of air, and the sacred medicine of tobacco. Join us as we explore the significance of this quadrant and gain a deeper understanding of its teachings.

Highlights:

  • Learn about the symbolism of the eastern direction and its connection to the arrival of spring.
  • Explore the cycle of life, from infancy to maturity, and its importance in Indigenous culture.
  • Dive into the element of air and its role in spirituality and connection.
  • Discover the sacred medicine of tobacco and its significance in Indigenous ceremonies.
  • Participate in a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own tobacco tie, guided by Indigenous teachings.

Join us for an enriching experience that fosters cultural understanding and appreciation. Whether you’re new to Indigenous teachings or seeking to deepen your knowledge, this series is open to all who wish to learn and grow together.

Note: Please dress comfortably for the event, and bring your curiosity and an open heart as we explore the richness of Indigenous traditions.

Come be a part of this unique opportunity to engage with Indigenous teachings and honor the wisdom of the Medicine Wheel. We look forward to sharing this meaningful journey with you.
