The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is committed to accessibility for all

The Canadian Heritage Bushplane Centre’s exhibits are displayed with a variety of written material, narrated video and physical displays, many of which are interactive. These features will meet the needs of a variety of abilities. The Children’s Centre is an open, fun and interactive zone for kids of all ages. In addition, the Bushplane offers a variety of accessible features, including:

  • On-site manual wheelchair and two scooters for use in the centre. No additional charge.
  • Automatic doors to enter.
  • Wheelchair accessible ramp for entering and exiting the museum. 
  • Wide walkways and lanes around most displays improving access.
  • Free admission for support persons. 
  • Access for working service animals.
  • Chairs and benches throughout for rest stops.
  • Accessible and gender-neutral washrooms.
  • Wheelchair lift to Flight Adventure Simulator.
  • Smartphone Tour App. The Bushplane Tour includes:
    • Audio and text in English, French, Spanish, German and Anishinaabemowin.
    • Text in Hindi.
    • 360 degree video of interior of aircraft.
    • Subtitled videos (English only).
