Part of the 9th annual Sault Ste. Marie Science Festival, brought to us by Science North!
Celebrate International Women’s Day by exploring STEM activities in a fun adults-only atmosphere. Grab your favourite beverage and celebrate the power of women with the co-launch of Ingenium Canada’s Iron Willed: Women in STEM travelling exhibit and the Bushplane Museum’s own Women in Aviation exhibit. You’ll be inspired, entertained and challenged with a live panel discussion with women who’ve made great accomplishments in their careers and lives. Be entertained with live music and interactive activity stations where you can get hands-on with STEM – learn the science of chocolate with Sweet Change, code with Science North, get microscopic with invasive species and pathogens with the Natural Resources Canada- The Great Lakes Forestry Centre, race a cockroach with Entomica, make art together with the Venturi Principle and much more.
Cash bar available. All ticket proceeds go to support STEM-based educational programming with Science North and the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. This is a 19+ only event.
