Program Coordinator

Application deadline: April 23 , 2024

Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the organization and delivery of children’s and senior programming at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. The Program Coordinator develops partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders, creates programming plans and ensures the satisfactory delivery of programming, under the guidance of the Retail & Customer Care Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

We’re all about building strong connections both inside and outside our community, teaming up with a variety of partners like senior homes, social service agencies, White Pines Field School, Science North, school boards, and cultural organizations to bring new and exciting programming to life.

Our goal is to craft a well-rounded programming plan that includes fun activities for our Kid’s Club and fosters engaging interactions between students at White Pines Field School and seniors.

We’re keen on pinpointing exactly what our community needs in terms of programming and finding the best tools and services to make these ideas a reality.  We’re all about the details, including keeping track of how well our programs are doing and sharing the successes.

Summer and PA Day Camps at CBHC are a big deal, and we put a lot of effort into making sure everything runs smoothly, from setting policies to planning activities, and ensuring our support staff are ready to deliver a fantastic experience for the kids.

Every now and then, we also dive into the educational side of things, assisting with the delivery of educational programs. We’re constantly seeking ways to enhance what we offer or to come up with brand new program ideas.

As part of the Education Committee, we contribute to shaping the educational vision and direction of our organization.

And, of course, our roles are as varied as the programming we offer. You might find us giving tours or lending a hand at community events among other responsibilities. It’s all in a day’s work here, where every task is an opportunity to contribute to our vibrant community.
