We’re having a PAW-some Easter at the Bushplane Museum!

Bring your pets to the museum for a day of paw-some fun and games. This fundraiser, jointly organized by the Bushplane Museum and Entomica features:

Cute and cuddly bunnies
Pet Vendors’ Market with crafters and pet product suppliers — Ontario Wild, Norwex, Getting Crafty, From the Heart Pet Memorials, Brooks Bones and Stones, Jilly’s Pebble Art and Crafts, Kippax Kreations, Laura’s Loveables Gifts and Treats, Wag Swag, Junk Jam Studio, Lake Superior Sheepdogs, Flo and Co., Wellington Crossings… and more!
A live reptile show with Eden’s Reptiles (10:30 am)
Entomica Insect Show (12:30 pm)
Live music with Blair St. John (1 pm to 3 pm)
Kids Activities: mini putt, crafts, easter egg hunt and more!
Face painting by Perfectly Painted Faces! (Additional charge applies)

Pet Contests

Sign your pet up for a fun contest and a chance to strut down the runway! Contest categories and schedule are as follows:

11 am – Best Dressed Pet Fashion Contest
11:30 am – Pet/Owner Lookalike Contest
12:00 pm – Best Trick Contest

There is no fee to sign up your pet, but donations are greatly appreciated. Any pet qualifies as long as they are complying with the Pet-sponsibility Rules. Sign-up occurs on-site near the Main Stage. Contest prizes are supported by Pet Valu and Pet Food Warehouse.

Photos with the Easter Bunny

Get a professional photo of you and your pet with the Easter Bunny shot by Meaghan Kent. First come, first serve. Please be advised that the Easter Bunny will take a ten-minute break every hour at the 50-minute mark. You may also select an Easter photo without the Easter Bunny if desired.

Photos are $20 each – pay the photographer directly. You will receive a link to the photo for download by April 30, 2023.

Thank you to Meaghan Kent who will be donating $5 per photo back to the Bushplane Museum and Entomica!

Canteen

Enjoy snacks and light meals from our canteen. We’ll also be serving Mimosas and our signature Tipsy Beaver draft brewed by Northern Superior Brewing Co.

Are you a Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre member?

Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre members attend free of charge. Please enter the building using the “pre-purchased” ticket line.

All proceeds raised support the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Entomica Insectarium.

Pet-sponsibility

We want everyone, pets included, to enjoy a safe and fun day. For this reason, please abide by the following rules:

All pets must be leashed (or secured) and kept within 1 metre of their owner’s side.
The owner is responsible for their own pet’s behaviour. If your pet is misbehaving, please leave or you may be asked to leave.
Pets may not enter any planes or barricaded areas.
Be respectful of the museum’s displays, staff and other visitors – follow signage, listen to staff and volunteer instructions, don’t allow jumping or aggressive behaviour, etc.
Pick up after your pet if there’s an accident – we’ll have some baggies available if needed.

Visiting the museum is at your own risk. The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Entomica Insectarium are in no way liable for any impacts on your health or that of your pet, or any incidents that may occur between your pet and another pet/owner. If you suffer from allergies, it is recommended that you do not attend this event.
