About the Bands
Inspired by strong backgrounds in folk rock, country and blues Greg MacLachlan and Christina Johnson formed the Crossroad Magdalenes, a musical duo, in 2015.
Their songwriting skills fuse to expound on their collective talent. Guitars in unique tunings support tight harmonies and combine to create a musical experience audiences won’t forget. Now supported by percussionist Aaron Dunn and bassist Alex White, their sound is fuller and more dynamic than ever!
The Barn Board Trio
Liam Seymour – Guitar, Vocals | Marshall Jaaskelainen – Bass, Vocals | Jaime Jacques – Drums, Vocals
The Barn Board Trio has been serving the Sault Ste. Marie music scene a robust and well-blended catalog of modern and classic country, rock and blues tunes for over 6 years. The band boasts an exhaustive list of cover material and has one full-length album of original music to their name. The band has participated in countless events around town, including Rotorayfest, Algoma Art Council’s Fringe Festival, and Searchmont’s Pray For Snow Events. The band has also hosted annual residencies at LopLops, playing every Friday night during the month of February with a brand new theme each week, including Outlaw Country Night, Surf Night, One Hit Wonders, and Canadiana Night. The Barn Board Trio is an experienced, professional, and well-rounded group suitable for any event looking for a wide spectrum of music entertainment.
